Since a young age I have always been a sociable character, who enjoys going out, travelling and meeting people. Networking is something I do naturally and without even realising it! I guess this stands for the reason I’ve ended up being a recruiter.
Prior to becoming a recruiter, I studied marketing at university. After receiving my degree I began my working life as a marketing & business development executive at a large pharmaceutical company. During my tenure I worked on a wide range of exciting, large-scale campaigns utilising PR, events, digital marketing, E-commerce and everything in between.
Towards the end of my time in the role, it was clear to me that business development was where my strengths really lay. It was time for a change. So I grabbed the bull by the horns and approached a leading recruitment consultant in London. After a series of assessment days and interviews I was offered an amazing opportunity as a consultant being trained by the digital/tech consultant, who was the company’s top biller at the time. The rest as they say is history.
From my own experience, I know that changing your career can be a daunting and sometimes difficult challenge. So for me, having the opportunity to help others find their dream job and watch them thrive in their career, is something I am proud to say I do for a living.
