En route to becoming a Developmental / Educational Psychologist, opportunities in Recruitment came knocking upon graduating with my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I was told that I had the necessary and transferrable skills-set that would be required to be in this field, considering I had close to 7 years of prior work experience in the Education industry. I have been part of both the management and academic teams across organisations in formal education, enrichment/recreational programs and NGOs.
Hesitant at first, I thought to myself if there was any work environment outside a clinical setting that would allow me to interact and engage with people from all walks of life; it would have to be Recruitment! In Recruitment, we are in the business that helps you succeed - whether it is helping our candidate to secure a job opportunity that could put his/her career to the next gear, or helping our client meet their business needs through a right hire! Having been in Recruitment for some time now, I enjoy my interactions with candidates and clients, and to serve as a bridge between them.
Outside of work, I delight in fuelling my curiosity on topics of interest through research, exploring the arts and culture, and engaging in sports like tennis. I even had a go at a dragon boating competition when I was based in Brisbane, Australia.
Fun fact about me – I enjoy a good adventure and have a backpack ready to set off on a road trip at sudden notice!
