I for one can understand how frustrating the job search process can be. I graduated with a degree in Music – as much as I value the education I had, breaking into the business world proved a nightmare for me, as my credentials would seem entirely irrelevant to most jobs I felt interested in.
People say we fall into recruitment by chance. While that was the case for me, it was perhaps more so the realisation that landing your dream job and hiring the right talent for your team takes so much more than merely matching keywords on a CV.
Near the end of my degree, I had spent months sitting in front of the laptop for hours every day, exploring career options I had, sending out applications after applications. It was a perplexing, frustrating, and potentially discouraging process. After all, many people would think I was out of my mind that I hadn’t become a music teacher with my music degree!
I realised two things: the importance of going out there and networking and, more importantly, having someone with the empathy and expert knowledge to help me navigate through the complex job market.
It thrills me that I am now in a position to influence this process. I am genuinely excited by the possibilities each individual can present in relation to specific business needs, and I am driven by a goal to not let transferrable personalities and skills go unnoticed.
I am happy these core values of mine coincide with what MCG&Co advocates. In the very dynamic landscape and industry sectors MCG&Co operates within, I hope to always offer a human touch to help you progress your career, or recruit first-class members to join your team.
