The Company

Our Client is an award-winning market research firm, with 20 years research background. Their mission is to bring insights that help clients transform their brands and seek out new growth opportunities through customized research. Due to their continuing growth, they are now looking for a Senior Research Manager to join their team.Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful execution of projects
  • New Business development with new and existing clients
  • Manage and mentor team
  • Involved in Qualitative projects, end to end

The Candidate

As a candidate you will be responsible for:

Proposal Writing

o Write research proposals in a value added manner

o Obtain quotes from vendors

o When working with Directors, to work out client quotations for approval

o Take research brief from clients

Research Design
o Propose or lead in research design

  • Overall research approach
  • Sample design
  • Research materials such as screeners, questionnaires, discussion guides etc

Project Execution and management

o Ensure accurate briefings are shared into field

o Lead and Conduct in-depth interviews/ focus groups etc

o Track deployment of fieldwork to ensure quality data is collected

o Ensure quality project management– g. monitor fieldwork progress, vendor management etc. is executed

Analysis and Reporting

o Conduct data analysis (table extraction, going through transcripts,

recordings etc)

o Propose analysis framework(s)

o Suggest the appropriate use of advanced analytics, sampling and weighting (for quantitative projects)

o Oversee charting and data extraction to ensure accuracy and meeting of requirements

o Report writing
o Conduct presentations of research findings

Client management

o Be main point of contact with clients during the course of proposals and projects

o Assist in managing, developing and growing existing key accounts

o Mentoring of junior consultants (line reporting and within project teams)

  • Other aspects of professional development

o Conduct orientation/ training sessions

Special Project and Process Ownership

o Lead and support special projects such as development of new syndicated study, developing of website, championing certain products, new processes etc.
o Ensure compliance with company policies and processes
o Suggest and lead the setting up or refinement of company policies and processes

o To ensure compliance with company policies and processes


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; in applied statistics, sociology, strategic marketing,
  • Able to moderate focus groups in a 2nd language (Mandarin/Malay/Tamil)(in view of business communications)
  • At least 2 years hands on experience in primary market research
  • Candidates should ideally be effectively bilingual, in English and Mandarin/Malay/Tamil.(to liaise with associates)
